Erich and Lieselotte Krämer found Metob Beschichtungen GmbH on July 1st. Production and administration are located at Heckenweg 2 in Michelau, initially in rented rooms.
A 10,000 m² plot of land is purchased in the industrial park on Röthenstraße. After a short planning period, construction of the 2,500 m² building can begin.
Production will start in the new premises as early as spring.
The built-up area has grown to 4500 m² – enough space for a cathaphoretic e-coating system, which was planned and manufactured entirely by metob.
The building area will be expanded to 7,000 m² with the construction of a new warehouse.

A hall with an associated vertical powder coating system is purchased in Switzerland, dismantled, and rebuilt in Michelau. After extensive modifications, it is the first system of its kind with a chrome-free pretreatment process.
